SHYNESS

 

 

On the edge of the brook

A willow bent and shook

In place.

 

It hugged a tiny bird,

Whose diffidence was blurred

With grace.

 

Not knowing what to think,

It lifted half-a-wing

Above.

 

And in the early dawn

A feeling lingered on

Of love.
